State Troopers report one accident and one arrest in the local counties Thursday.
A Marceline man had minor injuries in a single vehicle accident on US 36, east of Chillicothe Thursday morning. Thirty-two year old Matthew Cooper was taken to Hedrick Medical Center following the accident that happened about 6:30 am. The report states Cooper was westbound when a deer ran into his path and was struck by the vehicle. He was able to make a controlled stop on the shoulder.
Troopers in Daviess County arrested a Cameron man Thursday night. Sixty-four year old Daniel Harp of Cameron was arrested at about 8:10 pm for alleged DWI and speeding. He was taken to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail on a 24 hour hold.
