Trenton Fire Fighters Respond To Two Fires Friday

The Trenton Fire Department responded to two house fires Friday.

At 10:53 am, a fire was reported at 428 West 15th Street, the fire department arrived to find heavy smoke and fire visible on the southwest corner of the property.  The began the attack on the fire through the windows before making entry into the home and putting out the fire.  No injuries were reported, although a dog and cat perished in the fire.  Two kittens were rescued.  The fire damaged three rooms in the house and started in the kitchen.  The fire department was on the scene for about 2 hours.

At 6:37 pm, Fire was reported at 201 West 25th Street, the fire crew arrived to find light smoke showing from outside, and heavy smoke in the house.  The fire crew attacked the fire from the inside.  They reported heavy smoke damage throughout the house and fire damage in a utility closet and the kitchen.  The fire was thought to have started in the utility closet.  No injuries were reported.  The fire crew was on the scene for an hour.
