CHS Girls Soccer Wins Moberly Tournament

The Chillicothe Lady Hornets took 1st place in the Moberly Spartan Invitational with 3 shut out wins over the weekend.
After beating Mexico 5-0 on Friday, the Lady Hornets opened Saturdays games with a 7-0 win over the host Moberly Spartans.
Maggie Pfaff scored 15th minute off a corner kick from Sydney Baxter. See scored again 10 minutes later off an Addie Ficken assist. Freshman Makayla Vance then made it 3-0.
Just before halftime, Sarah Graves scored off an assist from Lucy Reeter to make the halftime score 4-0.
Early in the 2nd half Pfaff would get her hat trick off a Graves cross to make it 5-0.
Lucy Reeter finished a shot off a Graves assist to make it 6-0. To end the scoring, Caitlyn Cothern would send a Pfaff assist into the net in the 73rd minute to finish the game 7-0.
The Chillicothe defense continued it’s dominance and Kieffer notched her 6th shutout of the season.

In the 3rd game of the tournament, Chillicothe beat Kirksville 1-0 off a Makayla Vance score assisted by Cothern in the 37th minute. The defense made the lone goal stand and allowed the Lady Hornets to finish the tournament 3-0 with 13 goals scored and allowed none. The games bring the Lady Hornet record to 7-3 on the season with 7 shutouts.
