Chillicothe firefighters responded to a grass fire near the Chillicothe wastewater plant Monday evening. The call came in about 6:15 pm and the fire crew arrived with the brush truck in a few minutes the fire was on the west side of US 65 and covered an area about 30 yards long. The fire crew used about 30 gallons of water to put out the fire and was on the scene for about 15 minutes. The cause of the fire is unknown.
