Senator Roy Blunt is accepting applications from those interested in attending the Military service academies. Nominations to the U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, U.S. Military Academy, and U.S. Naval Academy are available for qualified applicants.
“Service academies play a crucial role in preparing the next generation of young men and women with the skills they need to serve and protect our nation,” Blunt said. “These institutions develop leadership skills, fortify character, and offer unique opportunities for exceptional young Missourians who decide to pursue a career in our nation’s armed services.”
Applicants must be 17 and 23 years of age, a U.S. citizen, and legal residents of Missouri. A committee of Missouri residents will review applicants’ files and present their recommendations to Senator Blunt for a formal nomination in January.
Interested applicants can apply by going to www.blunt.senate.gov. All application materials must be received on or before November 8, 2019.
