The Poppy is the symbol of the sacrifice of US Service Members that were killed while protecting our nation and the American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary are observing Poppy Days today and Friday. The members are at various locations around the community distributing crepe paper Poppies in exchange for a donation. All money collected directly supports service members, veterans, and their families through outreach programs.
The American Legion hopes you will support the Poppy Day activities, make a donation and wear the flower to honor those fallen heroes and in support of our military, veterans and their families.
