Chillicothe’s downtown and the Arts District will begin to see a little more life and a bit of color next week. Main Street Chillicothe announced the business flower pots will be placed around the community starting Tuesday morning. This year there are 88 planters that will be placed around the community. That is an increase from last year. And Wednesday, as weather permits, Main Street will begin painting the crosswalks in the Arts District, on Locust Street from Downtown, south to Ann Street. Main Street Director Ben White says this year they are trying a different paint, one designed more for the street surface.
In the future, Main Street will be putting up new pole banners in the Arts District and they have additional plans for the future.
