Several Chillicothe athletes have qualified for the sectional track meet next week. The Lady Hornets Track team finished 4th with 74 points and the Hornets were 5th with 86.5 points. Maryville boys and Lawson Girls won the team titles.
To qualify for sectionals, an athlete had to finish in the top four of their event.
Sectional Qualifiers for the Lady Hornets were:
Kylee Larson 2nd in 100 hurdles and 3rd in 300 hurdles; Kennedy Corzette 2nd in Pole Vault, Abby Jones 2nd in Discus, Montana Hall 3rd in the Shot Put, The 4×800 relay team was 3rd with Emma Burk, Katelyn Sullivan, Kadence Shippers and Delaney May and the 4×100 relay team was 4th with Kylee Larson, Delaney May, Abby Jones and Jordan Hibner.
Sectional Qualifiers for the Hornets were:
4×200 relay team was 1st with Deon Reynolds, Kaleb Mullikin, Peyton Forck and Isaak Rasche, 4×400 relay team was 1st with Ethan Corbin, Kaleb Mullikan, Peyton Forck and Isaak Rasche.
Rudy Yutsy 2nd in Pole Vault, Damarcus Kelow 2nd in discus, Luke Hopper 3rd in discus, Kaleb Mullikin 3rd in the 400, William Perry 3rd in the 1600; Isaak Rasche 4th in the 400 and Lavery Jones 4th in the 300 hurdles.
