Chillicothe Police Handle Numerous Calls Wednesday, Including For A Snake

Several wellbeing checks are part of the Chillicothe Police Department report for Wednesday.

3:37 am, Daviess County requested Officers check several locations for a person that had stated they had taken an overdose of medication.  Officers checked and unable to locate.  They called back later and said that the person had been located in Grundy County.

7:13 am, Officer checked on a person walking on US-65, north of Park Lane.  They were out for a walk and headed to Hedrick Medical Center.

10:12 am, Officers were called to the 200 block of Graves Street about a suspicious item.   The item that was reported was actually on another person’s property.  No report was taken.

10:26 am, Officers spoke with business in the 700 block of Webster St. about someone having tampered with equipment at the location.  Investigation continuing.

10:33 am, Officers were dispatched to 200 block of Brunswick on a well-being check for another agency.  The person was already contacted and returning home.

1:25 pm, Officer at PD to accept appearance bond for someone in custody in another jurisdiction on a municipal warrant.

4:18 pm, Officers responded to a complaint of a large snake on the sidewalk in the 500 block of North Washington.  Officers removed the snake.

5:03 pm, Several unfounded 911 calls made from an address on Walnut St.   The caller was advised of misuse of 911 Service.

6:49 pm, Officers checked report of possible illegal drug use in the 1000 block of Graves Street.  Officers checked subjects and nothing illegal observed.

6:58 pm, Officers checked report of an electrical transformer blowing in the area of Green and Frederick Streets.

7:05 pm, A disturbance in the 1700 block of Maple Street was checked.  Officers determined to be a verbal domestic and no arrests were made.

7:07 pm, officers responded to a report of a child left in a car in the 300 block of South Washington Street.  No problem was found.

10:31 pm, Officers responded to a request for a well-being check on person in the 1100 block of Polk Street.

10:52 pm, Well-being was checked in the 200 block of Gale Street after having received a threat.

Officers also handled numerous traffic stops, continuing investigations and building security checks.
