Chillicothe Police Report Includes Stolen Tricycle

The Chillicothe Police report for Thursday includes two arrests, an accident, and a stolen tricycle.

8:25 am, Officers investigated a report of harassment in the 100 block of Virginia Avenue.  The investigation continues.

11:55 am, Officers were called to the Verelle Peniston State School on a report of contraband being found in the school.  The investigation determined a controlled substance had been brought into the school by an employee.  That person was arrested and was held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.

12:30 pm, Property damage was reported in the 300 block of East Jackson.  The incident remains under investigation.

12:30 pm, Officers took a report of a tricycle stolen from the front porch of a home in the 500 block of St. Louis Street.

6:20 pm, Officer investigated a two-vehicle accident in the 1300 block of N. Washington Street.  The crash happened as a vehicle was pulling onto Washington from a business lot and did not see a southbound vehicle.  One citation was issued.

7:05 pm, someone called and was concerned about kids playing in the creek in the 1600 block of Fair St.  No kids were found in the area.

8:15 pm, Officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 600 block of Woodward.  As a result of the investigation, one of the parties was arrested for possession of marijuana.  They were cited and released.

10:14 pm, Officers responded to the 300 block of Jackson Street where a parent was having obedience issues with their child.  The juvenile left the residence against the parent’s wishes.  Officers located the juvenile and returned them to the parent.
