Flooding Continues On The Grand River

Flood levels predicted on the Grand River have changed some since early this morning.

For the Grand River at Chillicothe, the river is no longer expected to reach the major flooding mark.  The river continues to rise, with a crest expected today at 33.1 feet.  Flooding at Chillicothe is expected to continue until Late Friday when the river falls back below flood stage of 24 feet.

For other areas on the Grand River

At Pattonsburg, the river is at or near its crest, with a reading of 26.55 feet. Flooding will continue through Thursday morning.  Flood stage at Pattonsburg is 25 feet.

At Gallatin, Minor flooding continues as the river is still rising toward an expected crest of 29.8 feet.  Flooding is expected to continue until Thursday evening.  Flood stage at Gallatin is 26 feet.

At Sumner, Moderate flooding continues until Sunday morning.  The river has been rising and is expected to reach a crest of 36.6 feet late Wednesday night.  Flood stage at Sumner is 26 feet.

At Brunswick, Minor flooding is occurring.  The most recent reading is 23.8 feet and rising.  The river is expected to crest at 32.5 feet Friday morning and flooding could continue into the early part of next week before the river falls back below flood stage of 19 feet.
