Chillicothe Police Report For Wednesday

Suspicious activity and a minor accident are in the Chillicothe Police Department report for Wednesday.

9:31 am, Officers responded to the area of Polk and Dickinson Street for a small child wandering around unsupervised. They located the child and located the caregiver a short time later about two blocks from where the child was found.  The caregiver was unaware the child was gone. The incident was referred to the Livingston County Children’s Division.

9:46 am, Officers spoke to a resident about a possible scam involving a person selling Direct TV service. The person selling the service was located and found to be a legal representative for the company, but had no city license to do business in Chillicothe. They were told to stop the sales activities until they had a license.

2:19 pm, Officers investigated a report of a stolen bicycle in the 1100 block of Elm Street.

3:19 pm, a minor accident was reported in the parking lot of the Chillicothe High School. Minor damage was reported and the drivers exchanged information.

3:21 pm, Officers responded to a report of suspicious activity in the 100 block of Jackson Street. A person was contacted and the issue was resolved.

3:41 pm, Officers checked a report of kids tampering with mailboxes in the 1700 block of Clay Street. The boys were located and had caused no damage. They were taken to their homes.

3:45 pm, Officers responded to a report of an illegally parked vehicle in the 300 block of Hillcrest that was obstructing the flow of traffic. The owner could not be found and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
