Grand River Flooding and Flooded Roads – REVISED

Flooding continues on portions of the Grand River.

Flooding continues on portions of the Grand River and while levels will dip slightly, they will rise again over the weekend.

For the Grand River at Chillicothe, the river will fall back below flood stage of 24 feet this evening but is expected to rise above flood stage Saturday afternoon, to a crest of 31.9 feet.

At Sumner, the river crested at 37.8 feet and is starting to fall.  Moderate flooding continues through the middle of next week as the river will begin rising again on Sunday afternoon.  Flood stage at Sumner is 26 feet.

At Brunswick, the river crested at 30.4 feet.  Moderate flooding will continue until Sunday when the river drops to about 26 feet, but it is expected to rise again to about 29 feet with flooding continuing through Wednesday and beyond.  Flood Stage at Brunswick is 19 feet.

 

Flooded Roads In The Area

There are still several roads closed due to flooding in the area counties, but the number of roads is down considerably.

Caldwell:

Route A – at Shoal Creek.

Carroll:

US 10, west of Carrollton

US 24, From DeWitt To Brunswick

Chariton:

Route E – from Rothville to Route F/JJ

Route J between Dalton and Namrash Road

Route NN – from Deer Road to Rascal Flats Road

Highway 5 from Batts Creek Road  to Route KK

Livingston:

Route D – From Route DD to South of Ludlow at Shoal Creek

Route DD – Northeast of Ludlow from Route D to Route C
