Chillicothe Police Weekend Report

Items on the Chillicothe Police Department report covering Friday may 24th through Sunday May 26th included a couple of accidents and numerous arrests.
On Saturday officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Fair street on a report of a female appearing to be passed out behind the wheel with kids playing in the car. According to the Police Report, after repeated attempts the female woke and was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. She was taken to the Daviess-DeKalb County Regional Jail pending filing of formal charges.
Officers conducted a drug investigation in the 500 block of East Business 36 highway and arrested a male for possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Daviess-DeKalb regional jail pending the filing of formal charges.
Officers arrested a female on an active arrest warrant out of Chillicothe for possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to register a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with out financial responsibility. She was unable to post the $450 cash only bond and was taken to the Daviess-DeKalb County Regional Jail.
Officers arrested a male on an active Randolph County Warrant for stealing. He was unable to post bond and taken to the Daviess-DeKalb County Regional Jail.
Officers assisted the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office with a vehicle driven in a careless manner with excessive speeds and failing to yield to an emergency vehicle. The male driver was arrested in the 400 block of Walnut Street by the Sheriff’s Department with assistance by the Chillicothe Police Department.

Officers on Sunday responded to a two vehicle injury accident at BUsiness 36 Highway and South Washington Street. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage. One driver was taken to Hedrick Medical Center with minor injuries. No names were provided in the report.
Officers also took a report of a non-injury one vehicle crash in the 600 block of Ann Street
