Woman Injured In Buggy Crash Died Of Her Injuries

A woman injured in a buggy accident in Trenton has died of her injuries.  The accident happened Friday afternoon in the 1700 block of 9th Street, Highway 6, in Trenton when the buggy was struck from behind by a car  Trenton Police Department updated and corrected some of the information.

Fifty-seven-year-old Elizabeth Hostetler of Spickard died of injuries sustained in the accident.  She was driving the buggy and her 10-year-old daughter was a passenger.  The daughter had minor injuries.  They were both taken to Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton and Hostetler was later flown to Truman Medical Center, where she later died.

Trenton Police report 50-year-old Christina Airey of Trenton was eastbound when she struck the rear of the buggy.  Airey was not injured in the accident.  The investigation continues.
