Missouri Pesticide Collection Event In Carrollton

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources is collecting unwanted or unused pesticides from farmers and households in the local area in late June.  The Missouri Pesticide Collection Event will be in Carrollton, is June 29th at the Carrollton City Hall at 206 W. Washington Ave.  At this event, you can drop off:  Unwanted pesticides, Rodenticides, Dewormers, Fly tags, Fertilizers containing pesticides, Insecticides, Fungicides and Herbicides.

CJ Plassmeyer from the DNR says it is important to collect these items from time to time.

Plassmeyer says this is an agriculture and household pesticide collection event only and there are items they will NOT accept.

He says items from businesses are controlled as hazardous waste.

Since 2012, the DNR has collected more than 430,000 pounds of pesticides from 1379 participants across the state.
