Three Injured In Two Accidents Investigated By State Troopers

Two accidents in the local counties resulted in three injured.  State Troopers report accidents occurred in Carroll and Grundy county Monday.

At about 8:10 am in Grundy County, a car/deer accident left the 36-year-old driver with minor injuries.  Britney Lockhart of Spickard was southbound on US 65, south of Spickard, when she struck a deer. Lockhart was taken to Wright Memorial Hospital for treatment.  She was wearing a safety belt.

At about 8:45 pm in Carroll County, a car versus tractor accident left both drivers with minor injuries.  The report states 75-year-old Sandra Looney was westbound and making a left turn when 59-year-old Phillip Henderson, who was driving a John Deer tractor was also westbound and attempted to pass the Looney vehicle.  Henderson hit the Looney vehicle, causing Looney to run off the left side of the road.  Looney was taken to Carroll County Memorial Hospital for treatment.  Henderson refused treatment at the scene.
