A kayaking basics class will be at Pikes Lake at Poosey Conservation Area. The program sponsored by the Missouri Department of Conservation will be July 11th from 9:00am to 11:00am or 5:30am to 7:30am.
Conservation Educator at the Conservation Department Office in Chillicothe Adam Brandsgaard says this beginners course will start with on ground instruction before moving into the water.
He says equipment will be available for use at the class.
The class is for ages 14 and up. Register on line at mdc.mo.gov
