Big 3rd Inning Helps Mudcats

The Chillicothe Mudcats beat the Nevada Griffons 10-8 on Monday.
The Mudcats started Branded Van Buren and after 2 very good outings previous to last night he would manage 4 innings allowing 7 runs on 12 hits and 6 K’s.
Chillicothe woke up the bats in the third as they sent 13 men to the plate and produced 8 runs on 6 hits to take the lead 8-7.
Blaine Ray got it started with a 2 RBI double and would finish 4-5 on the night with 2 doubles and 4 RBI’s.
Logan Eickhoff, Dom Trevino, and Brady Welch, would all bat in runs before Jack Grace tacked on a 2 RBI single.
Tate Wargo added an RBI single as well. Hunter Johnson would go 3-4 on the night as the Mudcats added a run in the 5th and 7th.
Jack Albright came on in relief and pitched 5 strong innings, allowing just 1 run and stranding the bases loaded in the bottom of the 9th.
The Mudcats are now 15-9 will play at the Sedalia Bombers tonight.
