Thursday is a holiday and that will mean more law enforcement officers will be patrolling the roads to keep motorists safe during the July 4th travels.
Sgt Jake Angle with the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop H in St Joseph says Operation CARE, or Crash Awareness and Reduction Effort will be in effect in the area.

Angle says the Patrol just wants to keep motorists safe over the July 4th Holiday.

The Patrol will have another DWI saturation in Grundy and Livingston Counties on Wednesday the 4th and Friday the 5th. Extra troopers will patrol those counties, watching for impaired driving.
