Mudcats go 1-1 over weekend

The Chillicothe Mudcats lost to the Sedalia Bombers 8-6 on Saturday and beat the Jefferson City Renegades 16-4 on Sunday.
On Saturday, the Mudcats got sac fly RBI’s in the first 2 innings from Blaine Ray and Tate Wargo. Wargo would add an RBI single in the 8th. Tyler Venditti would go 5 innings while Brock Pettit and Chandler Griggs came on strong in relief. The Mudcats would stranded 2 in the 9th and would drop one to Sedalia. Last night the Chillicothe bats were alive and well against Jefferson City. They would send 11 men to the plate in the 1st. Nolan Metcalf and Tate Wargo both had 2 RBI singles. In the 2nd, 6-2 Cats and Nolan Metcalf would launch his 3rd HR of the year into orbit to make it 8-2. He finished with 5 RBIs on the night. In the 3rd bases loaded for none other than Logan Eickhoff. He would notch a 3 RBI double to make it 15-2. Tate Wargo finished with 3 hits and 4 RBIs as Branden Van Bure went 5 strong innings. Tyler Ingram would come on for the 6th and 7th to shut it down as the Cats run ruled the Renegades in the capital.
