The Chillicothe Police Department is experiencing an increased number of service calls over the last several months.
Chief Jon Maples says the increase has been ongoing for several months.
He attributes the rise in calls for service to a chance in society and increased confidence in the Chillicothe Police force.
Chief Maples says the public has a greater trust in the police, but says more officers will be required. He is talking with city officials on a study for the possible staff increase sometime in the future
