3 Area Counties Get FEMA Assistance

Three counties in the KCHI listening area are part of the 20 Missouri counties that were included in a disaster declaration signed by President Trump.
Livingston, Carroll and Chariton counties are included in the list of 20 that makes residents in those counties eligible for the Federal Individual Assistance program. Residents in those counties can now register for FEMA assistance with temporary housing, housing repairs and the replacement of household items.
Individuals and families who sustained damage or losses due to flooding and severe storms from April 29th and after in one of the included counties can register for assistance at disaster assistance dot gov or call 800-621-3362.
FEMA disaster assistance to eligible individuals generally falls into housing assistance, other needs assistance, low interest disaster loans and other disaster assistance programs.
