HAZMAT Training In Chillicothe

The Chillicothe Fire Department and Hedrick Medical Center are teaming up to conduct a HAZMAT mock training event on Monday August 19th at 10:00am and 11:00am.
HAZMAT involves training with hazardous materials, or substances in quantities for forms that may post a reasonable risk to health, property or the environment.
That includes substances as toxic chemicals, fuels, nuclear waste products and biological, chemical and radio logical agents.
The training will center around five mock patents that have been exposed to a mock anhydrous spill at the Litton Agri-Science Learning Center in Chillicothe.
The Mock Patients will be transported via ambulance by the Chillicothe Fire Department along Highway 190 to Hedrick Medical Center.
The purpose of the event is to train and prepare for potential HAZMAT situations in order to provide the best care possible for the community in the event of a real HAZMAT occurrence.
