Chillicothe Police Report Busy Day Wednesday

Chillicothe Police responded to 110 calls for service Wednesday, including reports for storm damage, trespassing and follow-up on continuing investigations.

6:06 am, A vehicle got high-centered on the Third Street railroad tracks after driving around a barricade where tracks had been repaired.  The driver was cited for failure to obey traffic control device.

11:03 am, School Resource Officer checking on subject of truancy in the 1100 block of Bryan Street.  Handled by Officer.

11:19 am, Officer out at Hedrick Medical Center to check on a person from an accident.  The person had been involved in assault incident that was previously reported.

11:39 am, Reported property damage to a window at Field School.  A window was broken by unknown means.

12:00 pm, Officers began an investigation of a sex offense involving a juvenile, investigation continuing.

1:49 pm, School Resource Officer checking possible truancy situation in the 1100 block of Hillside Drive.  They were unable to contact the resident.

4:40 pm, Officers took a report of someone creating disturbance at Field School.  The person was identified and the investigation continues.

6:03 pm, Officers responded to the 900 block of Third Street, for a verbal argument. Officers located the subjects involved and made them aware that they needed to resolve the issues without yelling at each other.  No arrests.

6:59 pm, Call from person who was concerned that a young friend was going to harm themselves.  Officers contacted the parent and the person was taking the subject to Hedrick Medical Center for evaluation.

7:45 pm, A domestic disturbance was reported in the 1200 block of Green Street.  The officers determined the woman was the primary aggressor and she was taken into custody.

9:34 pm, An Officer was contacted at the PD about a continuing investigation into an incident of alleged child abandonment.
