The Chillicothe Coaching Staff had a good look at the 2019 Hornets football team in game-like situations at the annual pre-season jamboree.
Chillicothe took on Centralia, Hallsville and Moberly in controlled scrimmages at Moberly.
Hornets Coach Tim Rulo saw some good things out of his team.
He also liked how his coaches communicated and worked together.
Against Centralia, the Hornets defense gave up a 40 yard quarterback rushing touchdown, but later countered with a 39 yard touchdown run from Isaih Kille.
In the second round. Hallsville scored on an 11 yard pass and again Chillicothe countered with a Gage Leamer 3 yard touchdown run.
In the final round, Chillicothe and Moberly played to a scoreless tie, that included an interception by the Hornets Defense at the goal line.
