Two Most Wanted Arrested

Two of the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department most wanted were arrested and are in custody at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.  Sheriff Steve Cox reports the following arrests.

August 23rd, 51-year-old John James Meyer of Hale was arrested on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Probation Violation on an original conviction for Possession of Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine. Bond was set at $50,000.

August 24th, 29-year-old Richard James Stumph surrendered on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Sodomy or Attempted Sodomy-1st degree, with a victim less than 12 years of age. He is held without bond.

Cox says the deputies recently logged about 44 staff hours guarding a prisoner at a hospital while they waited for the person to be cleared for confinement.

He says over the weekend another detainee from Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail was taken to a hospital in Cameron and then to a hospital in Kansas City. The detainee was guarded until Monday morning.
