Senator Roy Blunt To Attend ELCR Update

US Senator Roy Blunt will be in Milan this morning at the Milan Community Center, for an update on the East Locust Creek Reservoir project that will provide drinking water and recreation opportunities in north Missouri.  State Conservationist J.R. Flores from the Natural Resource Conservation Service or NRCS, will also make a major announcement at the event.  The NRCS is the federal sponsor of the project.

Others expected at the announcement include State Senator Dan Hegeman and State Director of USDA Rural Development, Jeff Case.

The East Locust Creek Reservoir project includes a 2300 acre reservoir on more than 4500 acres of land.  The project stretches about six and a half miles and includes 82 miles of shoreline.  The goal is to provide seven million gallons of water a day in 10 north-central Missouri counties.
