Chillicothe Police Report Includes Three Accidents

The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 106 calls for service Wednesday.  The report includes three accidents and a couple of arrests.

2:17 am, Possible disturbance near the 500 block of Business 36.  Officer unable to locate disturbance.

8:48 am, School Resource Officer investigated a report of assault in the 1500 block of Calhoun Street.  Investigation continuing.

11:09 am, Officers responded to a single-vehicle accident at Ryan Ln. and Washington.  Officers determined the driver was traveling south on Washington St. when he veered to the right to avoid another southbound vehicle changing lanes in front of him.  The driver sideswiped a power pole causing minor damage to the vehicle and the power pole.

4:20 pm, Officers made an arrest on a warrant in the 1000 block of 3rd St.  The male suspect was notified he had a possible warrant out of Clay County. He was held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.

5:00 pm, Officer responded to US 65 and Business 36 for a two-vehicle crash. A vehicle ran into the rear of the other vehicle, causing minor damage and the driver was cited for following too close resulting in a crash.  No injuries were reported.

5:23 pm, Officers responded to 400 block of N. Washington in reference to a two-car motor vehicle crash.  Officers determined one vehicle was slowing down in the southbound lane of Washington St. while the second vehicle was following too closely and ran into the rear of the first vehicle. There were no injuries.

7:49 pm, Officers assisted Livingston County Deputies on a warrant execution at Polk Street and Fair.

8:24 pm, Officers dispatched to disturbance in the 800 block of Elm Street.  Information obtained on violation of a peace disturbance to be sent for consideration of charges.

8:37 pm, Investigated the report of theft from a vehicle in the 300 block of Henry Street.

9:50 pm, Officers investigated a report of a runaway juvenile in the 1400 block of Bryan Street.  The child located in the 1200 block of Locust Street and was taken to the police department.  The Juvenile authorities were contacted.
