Accident & Arrest Reports From The Highway Patrol

State Troopers investigated two accidents and made one arrest in the local counties Monday.

At about 6:35 am, a single-vehicle accident left a Trenton woman with minor injuries.  The report states 52-year-old Shirley Ragen was northbound on Highway 5 in Sullivan County and struck a deer in the roadway.  She was taken to Sullivan County Memorial Hospital for treatment.  She was wearing a safety belt.

A single-vehicle accident at about 1:15 pm left the driver with minor injuries.  The report states 23-year-old Drew Russell of Milan was eastbound on Missouri Highway 6 in Sullivan County and ran off the road, striking a tree, field gate and an embankment.  His vehicle went airborne and came to rest in the ditch.  He was taken to the Sullivan County Memorial Hospital for treatment.  He was not wearing a safety belt.

 

Troopers in Livingston County also reported one arrest in the local counties.  Twenty-four-year-old Kevin Watson of Lake Laotawana was arrested at about 12:40 pm for alleged DWI – prior offender, and speeding.  He was processed and released.
