CMS Football splits with Brookfield

The Chillicothe Middle School football teams faced Brookfield in a home doubleheader.
Brookfield won the 7th grade game 34-16. Scoring both touchdowns for Chillicothe was Sylas Midgyett, with Luke Nickell scoring a two point conversion. Unfortunately Chillicothe lost starting quarterback Langsten Johnson to injury early in the second quarter.
The 8th Grade Hornets held on to an early lead to beat Brookfield 30-24.
Chillicothe scored on a Hagan Atchison 2 yard run with a Alex Gamblian to Grant Leamer 2 point conversation. Later Atchinson ran it in again for the score with Javon Kille in for the conversion. Later in the first half Jake Mathew took an interception in for the score. Later Gamblain ran it into the end zone for a 30-0 lead.
Brookfield battled back but ran out of time and time outs to complete their come back in the 30-24 Hornets win.
