Late Drive Gets Hornets Homecoming Win

Chillicothe’s Quarterback Jaden Winder engineered a 13 play, 67 yard drive for the game winning touchdown in a 21-17 Homecoming win over St Pius X.   Winder carried the ball 9 of the 13 plays, including 6 of the last 7, eventually scoring from 1 yard away.
Chillicothe scored on a Winder to Brad Hayen 25 yard pass in the first quarter and an Isaak Rasche 2 yard run on the final play of the second quarter for a tie game at halftime at 14-14.
A Chillicothe turn over gave St Pius the ball on the 21 yard line but the Hornets Defense held them to a 23 yard field goal.
Winder scored the game winning touchdown with 9 seconds left in the game for the 21-17 win to improve to 4-1 on the season.
Chillicothe hosts Lafayette on Friday.
