Flooding On The Grand River Continues – Revised

The Grand River remains well above flood stage from Pattonsburg to Brunswick.

At Pattonsburg, major flooding continues as the river remains near its crest of 32.77 feet.  The river should fall back below flood stage of 25 feet tonight.

At Gallatin, minor flooding continues as the river is near the expected crest of 32.94 feet.  The level is expected to begin falling Wednesday and the river should be back below flood stage of 27 feet Thursday morning.

At Chillicothe, the river crested at 34.32 feet and is slowly falling.  Moderate flooding is occurring and the river will drop back to about 26 feet Wednesday morning and slowly rise again to 33.5 feet on Thursday.  Flooding will continue until Sunday.  Flood Stage at Chillicothe is 24 feet.

At Sumner, flood stage is 26 feet.  Moderate flooding is occurring and will continue through the weekend,  A crest of 36.1 feet is expected this evening with the river dropping only a few inches by Saturday.

At Brunswick, Minor flooding is occurring as the river was at 24.7 feet Tuesday morning and continues to rise towards a crest on Saturday of 27.4 feet.  Flood stage at Brunswick is 19 feet.
