Macon Bats too Hot for Chilli

A six run third inning paced Macon to a 13-8 girls softball win in Chillicothe. Three Lady Hornets pitchers gave up 13 runs, 12 earned, off 18 hits.
Chillicothe Coach Mike Jones stated Macon hit the ball all night and very hard. He stated it was mostly hit in places where the Lady Hornets weren’t.
At the plate, Chillicothe was led by Kennedy Corzette with three singles, one RBI and one run scored. Brooke Horton had a double and RBI, with singles from Sophia Luetticke, Abby Jones, Mika Hibner and Hope Helton.
Included in Macon’s 18 hits were two home runs and a triple.
Chillicothe’s next Softball game is Senior Night Monday at home against LeBlond.
