Three Injured In Accident – One With Serious Injuries

A two-vehicle accident in Linn County Friday morning left three people injured, including a six-year-old girl with serious injuries.  State Troopers report the accident happened at about 8:10 am on Highway 5 at the US 36 junction.  A vehicle driven by 40-year-old Nichole Rusow of Archie, MO was eastbound and crossed Highway 5 from one ramp to the other when she pulled into the path of a pick-up driven by 41-year-old James Jordan of Marceline and was struck on the passenger side.

Jordan was not injured.  Passengers in the Rusow vehicle, 43-year-old Angela Moss and 17-year-old Hannah Rusow had minor injuries and the 6-year-old girl had serious injuries.  All three were taken to Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield and the child was later taken to University Hospital in Columbia.
