Thanksgiving Dinner – Time To Plan!

Thanksgiving is November 28th, a little over three weeks away.  Now is the time to start the planning if you are the host for this year’s dinner.  Determine how many will attend and make sure you are able to handle the crowd.  Start thinking about your menu, which will, of course, include turkey.  Andrea Balitewicz from the Butterball Hotline says the size of the crowd will determine the size of the bird.

Balitewicz says if you have room in the freezer, you can pick that bird up now, or you can wait.  But remember, if you buy a frozen bird it will take time to thaw.

For that 15 pound bird, it will take about 4 days, so you will need to move it from the freezer to the fridge somewhere between the 21st and the 24th.
