High Speed Chase Across Livingston County Ends With DWI Arrest

In late October, a Livingston county Deputy clocked a car headed east on US 36 at 95 miles an hour.  Sheriff Steve Cox says they radioed ahead to have the car stopped, but the car had already passed another deputy going very fast.

A pursuit began and at times, the speeds topped 100 miles an hour and up to 119 miles an hour.

By the time the car was stopped, it was already into Linn County.  Sheriff Cox says they arrested 34-year-old Brandon Michael Westfall of Louisiana, MO for the alleged DWI and Excessive Speed.

Westfall was processed, cited, given a court date and was released to a responsible adult.
