The Kirksville 9th grade Boys basketball team edged out Chillicothe 44 to 41.
The Hornets were led by Wyatt Brandsgaard with 20 points, Cayden Potter with 8, Landon Winder and Kyle Young each with four points, Quentin Cranmer with 3 and Cameron Fleener with 2.
Due to low numbers in the Kirksville girls basketball program, there was no 9th grade girls game.
