The Farm Ground Lease is one of the items the Chillicothe Board of Public Works heard about at Tuesday morning’s meeting. CMU General Manager Jim Gillilan says CMU has two pieces of farm ground near the Wastewater Treatment Plant that they lease to area producers. He says the first plot is 150 acres south of the treatment plant. At Tuesday’s meeting he says they received the bids on the second plot, is 175 acres, west of the plant.
Gillilan says he recently checked on the progress of the demolition of the steam plant. He says Red Rock is nearing completion. There were some delays on the project completion.
Because it was not Red Rock’s fault for the delay, Gillilan says at this time they will not be penalized.
