Chillicothe Police Report For Friday

The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 71 calls for service Friday.

1:49 am, Officers responded to a noise complaint from 800 block of Walnut Street.  Someone was working on apartment plumbing.  Officers advised they were disturbing neighbors and to stop.

6:30 am, Officers checked a complaint of a C & I driver that was northbound on US 65 toward Chillicothe from Hale Junction.  Officer monitored traffic and didn’t observe the vehicle.

7:34 am, Residential alarm was sounding in the 800 block of Cherry Street.  The determined it was an accidental activation.

9:14 am, The School Resource Officer was out in the 900 block of Woodward on an investigation.

12:16 pm, Officers checking the well-being of residents in the 100 block of Polk Street – Possibly without heat.  They are heating with wood.

12:24 pm, Officers out in the 100 block of W. Business 36 on an investigation.

About 1:00 pm, Chillicothe Police and Emergency services responded to the Strand apartments for a fire alarm.  The alarm was the result of burning food and the departments were on the scene for three minutes.

1:07 pm, Officer out in the 500 block of N. Washington Street on an investigation.

2:00 pm, Officers checked a parking complaint in the 600 block of N. Washington Street.  The vehicle was moved.

3:39 pm, Officers checked a home in the 10 block of Third Street after residents heard strange noises.  Nothing was found to have caused noises.

6:12 pm, A fallen tree was blocking Turner Street.  The Street Department was contacted to remove the debris.

6:34 pm, Officers and Emergency Services responded to Maple and Eleventh for a powerline catching tree limb on fire.

7:23 pm, Officers checked a report of a powerline down in the 2700 block of Tomahawk Road.  Municipal Utilities was called and responded to the scene and repaired the line.

7:46 pm, Officers responded to a fire alarm at building in the 1300 block of Monroe Street.  They found it was a False alarm.

9:37 pm, Officers took a call reporting someone in the 400 block of Reynard St. was threatening to harm themself.  Officers made contact with the person and took them into protective custody, transporting them to Hedrick Medical Center for evaluation and treatment.

10:05 pm, Report of suspicious activity was reported in a parking lot of a business in the 200 block of W. Business 36.  Officer spoke with a witness who stated the driver of the vehicle may have been under the influence of drugs.  Officers were unable to locate the vehicle that had been observed leaving the scene before Officers’ arrival.

10:53 pm, Officer made contact with a resident in the 2600 block of Shawnee Drive in reference problem with a family member.  The reporting subject was transported to another residence at their request and advised to contact an attorney in reference to residency issues within the apartment.
