Chillicothe Police Report For Monday

The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 80 calls for service Monday.

At 3:37 a.m., Officers were dispatched to a suspicious odor in the 400 block of Elm St.  Officers discovered a resident fell asleep while cooking and the odor was burnt food.

At 6:49 a.m., Officers were dispatched to a vehicle crash in the area of US 36 and US 65.

At 8:02 a.m., Officers spoke with a parent, at the Police Department, in reference to problems with their juvenile child.  Officers advised the parent of options.

At 8:24 a.m., Officers took a report of fraud at the Police Department.  The investigation is on-going.

At 10:03 a.m., Officers were dispatched to a burglary alarm in the 100 block of W. Bus. 36 Hwy.  It was a false alarm.

At 11:12 a.m., Officers responded to assist the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office with taking a person into protective custody in the 700 block of Webster St.  Officers approached the person who then ran away on foot.  Officers chased the person to Third St. where the person was taken into protective custody and turned over to the Sheriff’s Office.

At 11:51 a.m., Officers were dispatched to a disturbance in the 400 block of Webster St.  Officers discovered the incident was a landlord/tenant dispute.

At 12:01 p.m., Officers spoke with a citizen about a dog running loose in the 1300 block of Dorney St.  Animal Control was notified also.

At 1:44 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a disturbance in the 700 block of St. Louis Ave.  Officers discovered a repossession company was attempting to repossess a vehicle when they were confronted by the resident.  The incident was resolved peacefully.

At 2:16 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a parking complaint in the 500 block of Park Ln.

At 4:05 p.m., Officers were dispatched to juveniles riding an ATV recklessly in the alley between Hickory St. and Walnut St.

At 6:18 p.m., Officers took a report of a dog running-at-large on Washington St.  Officers were able to locate the owner, who was cited for the dog running loose.

At 6:39 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a business alarm in the 400 block of W. Business 36.  Officers discovered it was a false alarm.

At 9:39 p.m., Officers responded to a report of a street sign down on the road at Mitchell Ave. and US 36.  The sign was removed.  A short time later, Officers checked on a truck and trailer in the area of Mitchell Ave. and US 36. which may have hit the road sign.
