A Gillman City man died after an accident on Highway 6 near Jamesport Thursday evening. Ninety-two-year-old William Turner was taken to Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton, where he later died of injuries from the head-on collision. According to the Highway Patrol, at about 5:00 pm Turner was eastbound on Highway 6, at 190 – north of Jamesport when he crossed the centerline and collided with a vehicle driven by 42-year-old Sarah Bird of Gallatin. Bird was also taken to Wright Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
