Lady Hornets Sweep Benton On Road

St Joseph Benton missed a driving lay up at the overtime buzzer that gave the Chillicothe Lady Hornets a 58-56 overtime win in an MEC contest at Benton.

The Lady Hornets built a 5 point lead in overtime but Benton kept it close.
The Lady Cardinals scored the first 10 points in the game before Chillicothe scored their first point with more than 4 minutes into the contest.

Hunter Keithley led Chillicothe with 21 points, Essie Hicks with 11, Jordan Hibner with 10, Jessica Reeter with 7, Brooke Horton with 6, Selby Miller with 3 and playing time for Lucy Reeter and Haley Kidd.

The Chillicothe 9th grade team won 48-20 over Benton. Izzie Montgomery led Chillicothe with 14 points, Bre Pithan with 11, Aliyah Briner with 8, Cali Burkhardt with 6, Hope Helton with 5 and Kirsten Dunn and Lainie Epperson each with two.
The Junior Varsity Lady Hornets also won big with a 47-30 victory at Benton.
