Lady Hornets down Lafayette Girls

The Chillicothe Lady Hornets has few problems picking up a 52-21 conference win over St Joseph Lafayette at home.
Chillicothe blanked Lafayette 13-0 in the first quarter and the game was never in doubt.
Coach Darren Smith was glad to get everyone playing time in the game.

15 Lady Hornet players saw playing time in the contest. Hunter Keithley had 13 points, Jessica Reeter with 8, Brooke Horton and Essie Hicks each had six points, Selby Miller and Lucy Reeter both had five points, Jordan Hibner had three points, Haley Kidd, Josie Reeter and Ella Leamer each had two points and Ellie Barnett, Clara Leamer, Sophia Luetticke, Kaylee Munson and Montana Plattner all saw playing time.
With the Conference win, Chillicothe needs to beat Cameron on Friday to earn a share of the MEC crown. The Lady Hornets are off tonight and face Kirksville at home Thursday before the Cameron game at home on Friday.

The Chillicothe Junior Varsity girls started slow but bounced back to earn a 30-25 win over Lafayette’s JV.
Bre Pithan had the hot shooting hand with 18 points, most of them from inside the paint. Ellie Barnett and Cali Burkhardt each had three points and Kaylee Munson, Clara Leamer and Kirsten Dunn each had two points.
