Rader Going For A State Wrestling Medal

The Chillicothe Hornets have just one wrestler still competing in the State Wrestling Tournament.
Chillicothe’s 106 pound entrant Sheldon Rader will be going for a medal today thanks to his success through the consolation bracket.
After losing his opening match Thursday to a Seneca wrestler, Rader has won three straight matches. He beat a Dexter wrestler by pin in 33 seconds, beat a Kirksville wrestler by pin in 3:27 and beat a Logan-Rogersville wrestler 9-2.
Rader wrestles twice today, in the consolation semi-finals and then in the medal round. A win puts him in the third place match and a loss puts him into the 5th place match.
160 Pound entrant Dawson Wheeler won his first round by pin in 1:46 then lost his Quarterfinal to an Osage wrestler by pin in 1:49. In the consolation round he beat a Mexico wrestler 5-3 then lost to a Benton wrestler 5-0.
