Most Wanted Surrenders To Zaki

A man on the run from local authorities was taken into custody Sunday when the Livingston County K9, Zaki, was about to be released to search a home.  Sheriff Steve Cox says 36-year-old Jeffery Gordon Davenport was arrested at a home on Jennifer Lane in Chillicothe.  Davenport was wanted on a Missouri Parole warrant and for alleged child support violations.  He was also reported to have run from Probation and Parole officers last week.

Cox says the officers announced their presence at the home on Jennifer Lane and there was no response, but when they said they were sending in Zaki, Davenport surrendered.

The report states officers at the scene seized alleged meth pipes and a small amount of methamphetamine.

They also arrested 48-year-old Amy L Newman of Chillicothe for alleged hindering the prosecution and has since been charged with alleged failure to obey a judge’s orders.  Davenport and Newman were both taken to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.
