Bevier Man Released From Jail & Returned A Day Later

A man arrested February 24th and released from jail on the 26th, was back in jail on the 27.  Sheriff Steve Cox says 40-year-old William D Cooper of Bevier was arrested following a traffic stop on February 24th.  The arrest was for alleged delivery of a controlled substance – Methamphetamine.  Cooper was booked into the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail and on the 26th, he was released on his own recognizance with conditions.

On The 27th, Cooper met with his bond supervisor and they discovered he had allegedly violated the release conditions since the previous day.  Cooper has since been charged with alleged failure to obey a judge’s orders.  He is held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail with bond set at $15,000.
