State Troopers Report One Accident and Four Arrests

Missouri Highway Patrol had a busy weekend with several arrests and one accident in the area counties over the weekend.

A single-vehicle accident Saturday morning in Sullivan County left the driver and passenger with minor injuries.  At about 8:05 am, Troopers responded to 3rd and Pearl in Milan, where a car driven by 42-year-old David Smith of Milan, ran off the road and hit the ditch.  Smith and his passenger, 45-year-old Julie Howe of Milan, were taken to Sullivan County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.  Smith was not wearing a safety belt.

Four arrests are in the weekend report.  they include:

Saturday at about 12:10 pm, Troopers in Linn County arrested 28-year-old Brian Ivie of Kansas City for alleged possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and no seatbelt.  He was processed and released.

At about 4:20 pm in Caldwell County, Troopers arrested 34-year-old Carmen Boswell of Chillicothe for alleged DWI and speeding.  She was taken to the Caldwell County Detention Center on a 24-hour hold.

At about 10:25 pm in Linn County, 20-year-old Josiah Fender of Browning was arrested for alleged no valid driver’s license, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.  He was processed and released.

Sunday in Carroll County, Troopers arrested34 year old Amarilis Benitez of Kansas City at about 5:05 pm for alleged speeding, driving while revoked and an Audrain County warrant for alleged failure to appear on a non-support charge.  She was held at the Chariton County Jail.
