Many Area School Closing Due To COVID-19 Health Concerns

The Chillicothe R-II School District has canceled all classes and activities beginning Tuesday, March 17th.  The schools will be closed for three weeks.  Superintendent Dan Wiebers says this is to limit any exposure to the COVID-19 virus

In addition to the school closings, all extra-curricular events, practices, and use of Chillicothe R-II property for social gatherings have been canceled or postponed.

 

Looking at the other schools around the area:

  • Bishop Hogan School closed Tuesday through April 6th
  • Gallatin closed Tuesday through April 6th
  • Meadville closed Tuesday through April 6th
  • Southwest of Ludlow closed Tuesday through April 6th
  • Tina/Avalon Schools closed Tuesday through April 6th
  • Tri-County of Jamesport closed Tuesday through April 6th
  • Carrollton closed Tuesday through March 31st
  • Chula closed Tuesday through April 3rd

In the Trenton R-IX District, they are on spring break this week and are not in session.  The school district announced all activities, practices, events, and meetings for March 16th to the 20th are canceled.
