Registered Child Sex Offender Arrested

A registered child sex offender was arrested in Livingston County for alleged failure to register.  On March 11th, Livingston County Sheriff’s Office began the investigation. The suspect had been most recently registered in another county and was observed in Livingston County.  Information led to the 700 block of Clay Street in Chillicothe and deputies found the man had been living there since near the end of February, was allegedly living in a prohibited location and had not registered a change of address.

Deputies arrested 30-year-old Charles Spencer Hensonfor alleged failure to register as a sex offender.  He was also arrested on two outstanding Trenton Municipal warrants for alleged Failure to Appear in Court on a stealing charge and Failure to Appear in Court on a traffic offense.  Henson was held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail released on bond March 18th.

Henson is required to register due to a 2012 conviction for Statutory Rape in Livingston County.  He has since been was convicted in January 2015 for Failure to Register as Sex Offender in Livingston County and January of this year for Failure to Register as Sex Offender in Carroll County.  The Carroll County conviction resulted in a 4 year suspended sentence and he placed on probation for 5 years.
